As a celebrant, I will be guided by family and friends in creating a celebration of your loved one’s story, to honour their memory and unique life. I aim to provide a loving and meaningful ceremony that is poignant and personal in meeting your family needs.
What can I offer:
· Usually I would hear from the funeral directors and will initially make a call to you to arrange a visit to meet you either in your home or agreed location to understand your wishes and those of your loved one. A cup of tea is usually a good starting point and then we can have a chat about all the important things on your mind with regards to the deceased.
· We can discuss how you would like the ceremony to look, for example music, readings, tributes and who might be involved.
· Alongside the funeral director, I will be your point of contact in keeping you updated to explain what the process will be for the ceremony. I will be guided by you with regards how much information you would like to know and the best way to communicate such as email, phone, text, or WhatsApp, but I will never bombard you unnecessarily.
· You and your family may wish to meet more than once, and I will be guided by you.
· I look forward to hearing the history and stories of your loved one to ensure that their ceremony in ‘Celebrating their life’ is about remembering old events, sharing stories with family and friends (sometimes things they didn’t know), laughter and tears.
· I will always share scripts with you to ensure we are both on the same wavelength with regards to delivering the best ceremony on the day.
· Together we will work alongside each other from the planning to the ceremony on the day and consider how best to support everyone involved.
Each ceremony is special to you, so if you feel I may be the right person for your family, please don’t hesitate to contact me so we can discuss your wishes.
Please send me a message or ask me a question using this form. I will do my best to get back to you soon!
