Vow Renewals

Renewal/Commitment ceremonies are usually held to celebrate and reaffirm wedding vows. You may have been married for some time but considering celebrating and reigniting your love. This could be 5, 10 or 20 plus years later!

A renewal of vows or commitment ceremony can be done at any time and any location of your choice! You might feel that when you first got married you didn’t quite have the dream wedding you would have envisioned, or you now have different vows you would like to share with one another. 

You may remember or have a copy of your vows from your original wedding, or you may wish to let your guests know how your love for one another has changed or grown over time. 

It might be that you are hitting a milestone anniversary, overcoming a difficult phase in your lives or just want to say, ‘I love you’ and celebrate your love with family and friends.

There are a few things you may wish to consider including:

· Choosing a location such as at home, a restaurant, hotel, barn conversion or larger venue, foreign country or on the beach.

· Have you thought about who you would like to invite? Will it be close family and friends for a small intimate ceremony or a large event to include more people such as work colleagues and acquaintances.

What can I offer:

As an independent celebrant I can work alongside you both to create a bespoke, meaningful ceremony that is non-religious. Although I am non-religious, I am always happy to incorporate religious and spiritual elements into your ceremony if that’s what you would like. Your ceremony will be entirely about you and a time to share your love story with all the special people in your life. 

My role is to support you as a couple to ensure you have the day you desire and that your ceremony is unique and personal to you with lots of fun, laughter and maybe a few tears along the way!

· We can work together to get to know one another, and I will support and guide you in making authentic and meaningful choices for your special day.

· We can discuss any poems, readings, music, and family contributions from loved one’s and  favourite people on the day.

· If you have a pet you would like to be involved, it would be great to meet with them, find out their personality and plan for their comfort on this special day.  P.S. Don’t expect them to behave well all of the time and maybe nominate a special friend or family member to be in charge of them! And don’t forget that most of them like to be centre of stage!!

· I am incredibly happy to join in with a themed wedding and dress code (as long as I have plenty of notice) should I be required to invest in a new outfit!

· I will always share scripts with you to ensure we are both on the same wavelength with regards delivering the best ceremony on the day.

· Together we can work alongside each other from planning to the ceremony on the day to ensure you have the most memorable time ever!

I would love to be a part of your special ceremony in working alongside you in celebrating your love story, the promises you would like to share and your commitment to one another.

We can involve as many or as few families and friends as you wish, and the ceremony will be tailored to you. You choose the music, poems, readings, and I will preside over your ceremony. Most of all your special day will be meaningful, have lots of memories, fun, laughter, maybe a few happy tears with those closest to you.

Celebrants often get booked a year or two in advance so if you think I might be the right person for you then let me know  I can’t wait to meet you both, hear about your love story and journey together.
